1. Purpose and Scope

Our community connects people with a shared interest in paragliding.

These Community Guidelines apply to all profiles, posts, comments, photos, videos, private messages and other content created or shared through the Platform.

Acceptance of these Community Guidelines takes place together with acceptance of the Terms of Service during registration or before a membership is concluded.

2. Respectful Conduct

Treat other members with respect and kindness. Different experiences, opinions, cultures and backgrounds must be respected.

The following are prohibited in particular:

  • insults or personal attacks
  • threats or intimidation
  • harassment or bullying
  • discriminatory or dehumanising statements
  • repeated unwanted contact
  • public disparagement or deliberate humiliation of other persons
  • calls for others to collectively attack or harass a person

Criticism and differences of opinion are permitted, but must remain objective and respectful.

3. Authenticity and Identity

Profiles must not mislead other persons about a user’s identity or intentions.

The following are prohibited:

  • impersonating or pretending to be another person or organisation
  • misleading profile information
  • using another person’s photo as a profile picture without permission
  • creating additional accounts to circumvent a suspension
  • fraudulent or manipulative identities

A stage name or username is permitted, provided that it does not impersonate another person or mislead anyone about the user’s identity.

4. Content Authenticity and Artificial Intelligence

Our community is based on real experiences, observations and personal interaction between users.

Posts, comments, images, videos or audio recordings that have been generated entirely or predominantly by artificial intelligence may not be published.

It is also prohibited to use artificial intelligence or other editing methods to depict or materially alter real people, places, weather conditions, flying conditions or events in a way that creates a false impression.

AI-assisted tools may be used for translation, spelling and grammar corrections, as well as minor technical edits such as cropping, colour and exposure corrections, stabilisation or noise reduction, provided that the content and its meaning are not materially altered.

Users remain responsible for all content they publish, including where AI-assisted tools have been used to edit it.

Content that violates this section will generally be removed. In the event of repeated or serious violations, further measures may be taken in accordance with the section “Moderation and Possible Measures”.

5. Prohibited Content

The following content may not be published, shared or sent:

  • unlawful or fraudulent content
  • threats and incitement to violence
  • hate speech or discrimination
  • pornographic or sexually explicit content
  • content that exploits, endangers or sexualises minors
  • instructions or encouragement to commit serious unlawful acts
  • malware, fraudulent links or phishing
  • spam, chain messages or repeated unwanted advertising
  • deliberately false or dangerously misleading information
  • content that infringes the rights of other persons

Links to such content are also prohibited.

6. Child Safety

Paraglidingair has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Any content or behaviour that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers children is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, child grooming, sexual exploitation, sextortion, trafficking for sexual exploitation, and the creation, sharing or distribution of child sexual abuse material.

Users can report inappropriate content or behaviour using the reporting functions available within Paraglidingair. We review reports and take appropriate action, including removing prohibited content and suspending or terminating accounts where necessary.

Where required by applicable law, confirmed child sexual abuse material or other relevant child safety incidents will be reported to the appropriate regional or national authorities.

For child safety matters, please contact: contact@paraglidingair.com

7. Privacy and Personal Boundaries

Do not publish personal or confidential information about other persons without their consent.

This includes in particular:

  • private addresses
  • telephone numbers and email addresses
  • private messages
  • the precise whereabouts of other persons
  • personal documents
  • health or financial information
  • photos or videos taken in a clearly private setting

Respect a person’s wish not to have any further contact. Repeated messages following an explicit refusal or a lack of response may be considered harassment.

8. Photos and Videos

Before publishing photos or videos, the necessary rights and consents must have been obtained. This applies in particular where other persons are clearly identifiable or are the main subject of the recording.

In public settings, people may appear incidentally in the background. Nevertheless, legitimate requests concerning deletion or privacy must be respected.

The following are prohibited in particular:

  • covert recordings in private situations
  • degrading or humiliating recordings
  • manipulated recordings that falsely attribute actions or statements to a person
  • publishing recordings despite a legitimate objection

9. Copyright and Trademark Rights

Only publish content that you have created yourself or for which you have the necessary permission.

This applies in particular to:

  • photos and videos
  • music and audio recordings
  • texts and articles
  • maps and graphics
  • logos and trademarks
  • content from other websites or social networks

Crediting the source does not replace the need to obtain the required permission.

10. Responsibility and Paragliding Safety

Share experiences and information responsibly. Do not present personal assessments as guaranteed to be accurate or as official safety information.

The following are prohibited in particular:

  • encouraging clearly unlawful or irresponsible flying conduct
  • downplaying serious risks
  • knowingly providing false information about safety-related conditions
  • encouraging others to disregard local regulations or airspace restrictions
  • publishing another person’s whereabouts without their consent
  • content that deliberately pressures others into dangerous actions

Respect launch and landing sites, private property, local rules, local residents, animals and the environment.

Responsibility for every flight decision lies with the individual pilot.

11. Advertising and Commercial Content

Unauthorised advertising, spam and repeated commercial contact are prohibited.

Commercial content may only be published where this is expressly permitted by the Platform or has been approved by us in advance.

The following are prohibited in particular:

  • fraudulent offers
  • Ponzi or pyramid schemes
  • advertising messages sent in bulk
  • undisclosed advertising
  • misleading prize draws
  • collecting contact details for advertising purposes without consent

12. Unfollowing, Blocking and Reporting

If you no longer wish to see a user’s content or wish to restrict contact with them, you may unfollow or block that user. These features do not automatically notify the moderation team of a possible violation.

Content or conduct that violates these Guidelines should therefore also be reported using the reporting feature.

When submitting a report, the reason and context should be described as precisely as possible.

Users should avoid responding to harassment or provocation with further attacks.

The reporting feature must not be deliberately misused to submit false reports or to harass other users.

13. Moderation and Possible Measures

We review reported content and conduct, taking into account the context, severity and any previous violations.

Possible measures include:

  • taking no action where no violation is found
  • removing or restricting content
  • issuing a warning
  • temporarily restricting individual features
  • temporarily suspending a user account
  • permanently suspending a user account
  • reporting a matter to the competent authorities where required by law

In the event of particularly serious violations, a user account may be suspended immediately without prior warning.

Affected users may request a review of the decision by emailing support@paraglidingair.com. The request should identify the user account and content concerned and state the reason for the appeal.

14. Emergencies and Contact

The reporting feature is not intended for medical emergencies, imminent danger or crimes in progress.

In the event of immediate danger, contact the local police, rescue service or another appropriate emergency service.

Questions or reports may also be sent by email to support@paraglidingair.com.
